Congratulations goes out to the Burleson Raiders football players and cheerleaders who qualified for the 2006 Little Scholars Program.

Twenty Two Burleson Raiders qualified for the honor of Pop Warner Little Scholar. These individuals qualified for the program with a 93 or higher GPA on their May 2006 report card. All Little Scholars were honored at the regional level with a banquet in Beaumont in January.

Note that the Southwest Region awards annually a college scholarship to the player and cheerleader who hold the highest GPA for the region for that year.

Additionally, players and cheerleaders in the 5^th grade and above holding a GPA of 96 or above qualify at the National level for a chance for a college scholarship and the ability to attend the National Banquet which is held at Disneyland and Disney World (the location, alternates yearly), in addition to the possible award at the regional level.
